This has been a major factor in the growth of my newsletters. Writers are more likely to recommend you if you recommend them to others regularly.

100%, have found the exact same. I have loved being able to help some of my favourite writers grow too with my own recommendations!

I can see that others recommending me has led to a few new subscribers, which is great. But I do wonder - a newsletter with a big following recently recommended me (yay!) and so I've seen an influx of subscribers. But the activity column is blank - not a single star. So I'm guessing when they sign up for that newsletter, they're automatically signing up for mine (perhaps without realising it?) and not engaging with me at all. Interesting.

How recently did they subscribe? As far as I can work out, it can take a little while for new subscribers to register as having any activity. Basically none of my new subscribers from the last few weeks have any stars, but this does grow over time.

Okay, I'll be patient. They're all from the past 3 weeks. I'll give it time but won't hold my breath or anything.
