Hello!

Welcome to the FWN Newsletter. Lots of opportunities this week, with a fantastic 46 pitch opportunities and freelance/remote writing jobs for you in total.

ICYMI: Yesterday I published a collection of 24 different publications that all pay freelancers for writing about love, relationships and sex!

Quick reminder! So far I’ve had a reasonable number of replies to the Google Docs about how you generate ideas for your writing. If a few more could answer I should have enough to send it back out as a post with all the thoughts collated!

Calls to Pitch

  • If you are a freelancer writer and want to pitch Thrillist an Itinerary, they're all ears! More details on what they're looking for and how to get in touch here, as they accept more than just itineraries. Rates for this I believe are around $350 as they have been previously.

  • The Clique: “We're looking for pitches to include in our official site launch! Send us your best, boldest ideas on the following topics: News, Entertainment, Sex & Relationships, Style, Beauty, Wellness, Career & Finance, and Identity." New publication called The Clique. $75 per piece.”

  • Mill Media is looking for UK writers to pitch various new and interesting ideas. Pay can start at £150 for reviews and short work, stretching up to £1500-£2500 for extensive investigations. Pitch guideline here.

  • Call for Pitches: Nuclear Weapons Industry Imagery. Inkstick is looking for photojournalists who want to explore this seemingly-surreal weaponry, and help us understand what it looks like today. Images should not focus on the weapons or their resulting damage, but the humans at the center of and impacted by the industry. Commissions start at $1500.
