Grow Your Newsletter is becoming a full publication 🎉
Grow Your Newsletter started as a bonus section of the Freelance Writing Network, but now it’s a project I’m ready to expand into a full publication.
This section is spinning off to become its own standalone publication in the next couple of weeks.
Why the change?
Simply put: Grow Your Newsletter is increasingly different from everything else I publish on the FWN. While the FWN focuses on freelance writing opportunities, pitching, and writing career guidance, Grow Your Newsletter is more about audience-building, growth strategy, analytics, and making Substack work as a platform.
The focus of each is now different enough that it makes sense to separate Grow Your Newsletter into its own publication.
I’ve also got lots of plans for how to expand, including strategy posts, interviews, case studies, templates, and detailed breakdowns for Substack creators.
But to do that properly, it needs its own space.
If you're currently subscribed to the GYN section, you’ll automatically be moved over to the new publication. You don’t need to do anything to remain subscribed.
But if newsletter growth isn’t really your focus, or if you’d just rather stick to the freelance writing opportunities only, you can opt out now:
